Fairbanks firefighter Dave Naber carries Harmony Martinez from a Jeep to a waiting ambulance on Cowles Street. Harmony's mother, Randi, was driving the Jeep that was t-boned by a taxi cab. Harmony did not receive any injuries and was riding in a car seat in the back seat of a Jeep. Randi received a minor ankle injury.

He is with the UAF Facility Services Carpentry Shop. The "Elysian" is a steel and paint sculpture on the Eielson Building lawn created by sculptor Linda Howard in 1986.

Chum salmon fill a fish hold of Hagen's boat, the Krista C. The holds of the boat can be filled with more than 7,000 pounds of salmon. The fish were harvested for their eggs and processed for smoked fish. The fish were sold to a tender at least once a day. The fish are usually caught in high volumes and bought for about 35 cents a pound.

Mike Ellis, of Rumney, New Hampshire, gets his team ready to start over Eagle Summit, on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008 at the Mile 101 Dog Drop on the trail of the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race. Eagle Summit is considered one of the most difficult portions of the race. The Yukon Quest is a 1000-mile-long sled dog race run from Fairbanks, Alaska to Whitehorse, Yukon. Heavy winds made mushers minimize the amount of open skin to prevent frostbite.
